Buddha is the spiritual teacher, the leader of the religion of Buddhism in India. He is the central figure of Buddhist spirituality, and the Buddha is generally regarded as the founder of Buddhism. The main teachings of Buddhism are the theory of the existence of an eternal soul or mind (sometimes called the "buddha nature") and the belief that humans are capable of achieving enlightenment, or liberation.
The main concepts of Buddhism are the four truths or four noble beliefs:
1. All beings are essentially empty
2. All beings have a mind
3. The mind has consciousness
4. The mind is capable of achieving liberation
